When Congress enacts landmark tax legislation, the effects ripple far beyond the headlines. The so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill” is the latest sweeping initiative to revamp the U.S. tax code—but its impact doesn’t stop at the federal level. For tax professionals, real-world challenges often arise from how these changes interact with state tax systems.
This 3-hour, in-depth webinar brings together two critical dimensions of the bill:
1. The technical and strategic shifts in federal tax law, and
2. The downstream effects on state and local tax (SALT) systems, including conformity, apportionment, and SALT deduction strategies.
Whether you're guiding individuals through complex compliance issues or helping multistate businesses navigate the gray areas of SALT, this session equips you with the context, clarity, and insight you need to move forward confidently.
Why You Should Attend:
  • Get a comprehensive view of one of the most significant tax overhauls in recent years
  • Understand not just what the law says—but what it means in practice across jurisdictions
  • Learn to identify planning opportunities and compliance risks across entity types
  • Stay current on IRS interpretations, court rulings, and state responses
  • Be better prepared to advise clients, update internal processes, and manage implementation at scale
Learning Objectives:

  • Interpret how the changes apply to individuals, corporations, and pass-through entities

  • Evaluate the interaction between new federal rules and existing IRS guidance or case law
  • Identify apportionment changes, nexus updates, and state-specific business tax implications
  • Plan for implementation timelines, procedural updates, and audit risks
Key Topics Covered:

  • Changes to individual tax brackets, credits, deductions, and compliance thresholds
  • Corporate and partnership tax shifts, including entity-level tax planning considerations
